Welcome to circle-of-excellence, the digital home of Dr Peter EH Smee.

I am an experienced eLearning Consultant, with a passion for the design, implementation and testing of new techniques and technologies, in support of Learning and Development.

As a result, I have enjoyed two decades of award winning and award nominated success within a wide diversity of roles. These include: Face-to-Face Teacher and Trainer, specialised in the field of Learning and Development; Cognitive Modeller and Interactivity Designer, specialised in the psychological aspects of human expertise and human performance; and, Educational Technologist and Instructional Designer, experienced in the UI UX design and the subsequent implementation and application development of a wide variety of resources, in support of teaching and training...

...Examples of my work to date, include:  Interactivity Designer for the first Innovations Laboratory in the South West of the UK,  a space optimised for: Graphic Facilitation, Concept Visualisation, Web-Based Anonymous Brainstorming, Web-Based Collaborative Authoring, Computer-Mediated Conferencing, Creative Thinking and Group Discussion; User Experience Designer for an award winning Concept Mapping application, designed to accelerate learning and focus group discussion; Educational Author of several award nominated ebooks and booklets explaining accelerated learning techniques and collaborative meeting technologies; User Interface Designer for several websites and over a dozen software applications, including: an award winning Mind Mapping application, Scribble Pad, Paint Pad, Flow Charter, Gantt Charter, Marking Machine and Case-Based Discussion Tool; Interactivity Consultant in the planning of a suite of computer labs and two institution-wide CMS and VLE; Interactivity Consultant for a web parsing service that rates the persuasiveness of digital text and then suggests ways that an author can improve; Interactivity Consultant contributing to PhD research into the legal applications of subliminal messaging on web sites; and, Instructional Designer on several large eLearning development projects.
